Practical Bookkeeping gives you the hands-on skills to keep accurate, reliable financial records for a small business or department. You’ll practice the essentials of double-entry bookkeeping: recording sales and purchases, posting to journals and ledgers, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing a trial balance to catch and correct errors.
The course also covers day-to-day controls for cash, petty cash, accounts receivable/payable, inventory, and payroll basics, plus month-end procedures such as accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and closing entries. You’ll finish by assembling simple financial statements and learning how to read them to support better decisions, accuracy, and compliance.
